TL;DR: Your website has one job: help a couple who just found you decide, fast, to reach out. That means it loads quickly on a phone, shows your best work first, makes contact obvious, and gives enough pricing to self-qualify. Almost everything else vendors agonize over, the intro animation, the autoplay music, the 900-word story, quietly works against that job.
